Below are some pertinent details that you may appreciate knowing.

Travel:

When booking your airline tickets, it is best to fly into Phoenix, Arizona Airport. Airport code is PHX.

The Scottsdale Resort and Conference Center is located at 7700 E. McCormick Parkway, Scottsdale, AZ and is only 25 minutes from Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport, which is served by all major U.S. air carriers.
By arranging airport transportation at least 24-hrs in advance, the Resort's limo vans will bring you directly to the resort for a fee of $24 per person, each way. (Call the Beck Desk to arrange- 480-596- 7535.)

The Resort has a shuttle service running at designated times throughout the day that will take you into renowned "Downtown Scottsdale." A luxurious, upscale town, with many shopping attractions and restaurants to choose from. Downtown Scottsdale also has a Thursday night "art walk" that you may wish to experience. Conveniently located within a ten minute shuttle ride. *** See update below, we have just been informed that this will not be available while we are there.***

Car Rentals:

If you would like to rent a car during your stay, there is a Hertz car rental at the Scottsdale resort, as well as many of the major rental companies available at the Phoenix Sky Harbour International Airport for your convenience.

Airport Rental Companies:

Avis- www.avis.com

Buget- www.budget.com

Dollar- www.dollar.com

Enterprise- www.enterprise.com

Hertz- www.hertz.com

National- www.nationalcar.com

Thrifty- www.thrifty.com

When researching rates, we found prices range between $350 USD - $650 USD depending on size and model of car and length of rental.

Taxi's are also available from the Phoenix Sky Harbor airport. Terminal 2- North curbside, Terminal 3- North curbside and Terminal 4- Level 1 north curbside.

The following taxis are contracted to pick up passengers at Phoenix's Sky Harbor Airport:

Apachi Taxi- 480-557-7000
AAA/Yellow Cab- 480-888-8888
Mayflower Cab- 602-955-1355

Local Attractions:

There are many, many things to choose from. Scottsdale, Arizona is located 2-hrs from Sedona, known for its famous spiritual vortexes and approximately 4-hrs from the beautiful vistas of the Grand Canyon.

There are several tour companies that will arrange convenient day trips for you with a pick up and drop off right at the Resort. It is best to read and decide for yourselves by doing a google search for "Phoenix Arizona Grand Canyon Tours" for more information.

We are currently investigating a group day trip to Sedona for October 7, 2010. More information to be posted as it becomes available.

For a complete list of local attractions click here

For the more adventurous at heart who might enjoy a hot air balloon ride, or horse back riding and bycicle tours, etc click here (there is an e-mail link directly to the concierge at the Resort who will assist you with your bookings)

***NEW UPDATE*** March 24 2010

See the launch of our free Video Program here:
Jim and Steve on the 11 Other aspects of you. VideoShort 1

(more of the series will be posted in the Evolution Center on a monthly basis)

***UPDATE APRIL 30 2010***

Unfortunately we were unable to arrange a day trip to Sedona for everyone. We ran into many energetic glitches, things like no more than 50 people at a vortex at any given time as part of the forestry regulation, insurance fees, pavillion rentals for holding zones..and different information from each tour operation we spoke to. So we made a unanimous decision to not push the energy, and we let it go... I am currently working on an email and message board where people can post to one another, and set up a system of car pooling or sharing amongst yourselves. We'll provide the space for you to connect.

***UPDATE MAY 3 2010***

The message board is up. Click here to visit Merlins Law

***UPDATE JUNE 14 2010***
(please note new taxi information listed right above local attractions.)

We have just been informed that the trolley running from the Scottsdale Resort into Old Scottsdale is run by the city and is not available during the month of October. Please be advised that you will need to make other arrangements to get into town ( i.e-taxi's, carpool, etc.) We apologize for the misinformation, it was wrongly stated to us at time of booking.

There will be new posts as information becomes available, so please check back often.......
