Sometimes I get a bit confused about my life.  Sometimes I get a bit stressed about getting things done, or a bit worried that my latest endeavor won’t work out, or I get somewhat caught up in the news of the day.  When that happens, it’s time for me to stop and remember that I have a pretty darn good life!

I have a great relationship with Wolfgang, I’m healthy and happy, I have a (lovely) roof over my head and good food on the table, my friends and family are amazingly wonderful, and I can’t think of anything that I actually “need” that I don’t already have.  In fact, I have the luxury of having lots of things just because they bring me joy.  Can life get any better than that?

On the one hand, there is no way that life could get any better than it is right now.  How would that be logically possible when everything my heart desires comes to me?

On the other hand, I know from experience that my life just keeps getting better and better; and so I expect that it will continue to do so.  Even though I have no need of a better life, I get one anyway – just because.  How cool is that?

To be honest, when I say that my life keeps getting better and better, I’m not certain that anyone could see that from the outside looking in.  It’s not that I have more and more “stuff” or that I travel to ever-more-exotic locales or anything like that.  But somehow, every day, my life feels better and better.

I think that as I continue to open to my higher levels, and welcome them into my daily existence; then I gain the awareness to see and appreciate the absolute gift that is ‘life in a body’.

It’s not about the trips we take or the things we have, or even the people we know – it’s so much more than all of those things put together.  It is the absolute joy of getting to experience LIFE!

And so this November 27, whether you celebrate this U.S. holiday or not, feel free to take a moment to reflect on the wondrous things we get to experience each time we take a breath.

As Wolfgang says; “Life is for living.  Without it, you’re dead.”

Namaste!

The Art of Gift Receiving

I have some rental properties, and one of my tenants uses a wood-burning stove for heating his house.  As firewood is quite expensive in this area, I was surprised when he gave me a bunch of small pieces for my outdoor fire-pit.  I graciously accepted.

My mind wanted to make him wrong for giving something away that he could use himself.  I noticed that my mind likes to make people wrong in general, just for living life differently than my mind sees fit.

So, I told my mind to “mind its own business” and simply enjoyed the gift from my tenant.  My mind has gotten used to being told to “mind its own business” – and life keeps getting easier.

Lots of Love!

Wolfgang
