There are many sources (including Lightworker and advice from The Group) that are assisting us in remembering who we are. A familiar refrain is that we realize our own mastery and the power we now have over shaping our lives and our experiences on all levels of perception and existence. This is only possible with the restoration on the earth of the energy of Personal Sovereignty as well. And along with this aspect of the new energy to re-empowering us, we now find that the rules have changed drastically from how we used to go about our daily lives.
What makes this a challenge is that integrating the energy of Personal Sovereignty into our lives is not something our society or family/cultures of origin have taught us how to do. It’s all new ground, and old habits love to hang on. As a result, when we are fatigued and worn-out (and that is another attribute of the restructuring we are undergoing), we fall back into the old grooves, just at the time when we can least afford to do so.
Specifically I am writing about one of the crucial attributes of this energy: the recognition and honoring of The Self in regard to self care, which is about putting self above others when it comes to caring for ourselves. This does not mean to be outright selfish, but does mean that we have to rethink our current existing culture, religious and familial hand-me-down-teachings of being “selfless” over all else. (Many of you who read these pages have taken on the moniker of “lightworker”, and I have found that most of us who resonate with that term are practically hardwired to be generous and loving at the expense of our own well being, and this extends outwardly in how we “get in line and follow the rules” in other facets of life, like our work).
Are You In Recovery?
Humorously I refer to myself as a “recovering catholic” as a result of my own family and cultural history (and of course, including my akashic history). In that tradition, I was indeed schooled in the value system of being a selfless person as a trait to embody. As a lightworker pre-wired for a strong heart connection to humanity, it made perfect sense to me that I would come “second” as the historical teachings were interpreted to me. (These kinds of teachings, that we are subservient beings who are sinners and must suffer as part of life are found in Judaism and Islam as well, so the term could be broadened to be one “recovering from religion” if you have “been there and done that” in those versions.)
Many now believe, from both the new earth energy teachings and the discoveries of how the old teachings were reshaped and subtly edited by those in power, that this is a mis-interpretation of the Christ Energy that the man called Jesus embodied and shared. (After all, having a populace that understood the teachings of Personal Sovereignty would have meant the people knew that their leaders were not really required, let alone necessary, for obtaining their personal safety, happiness and well-being, and in the case of many well-entrenched religions, the path to their very own “salvation of their souls”.)
The Christ energy teachings did (and do) center on the heart connection, on love. They also taught that the individual is sacred, sovereign (and powerful: “You shall do all these and more” as Jesus said when referring to his miracles). The “truer” full message lost some clarity over time such that the balance of being good, kind and loving, while also strengthening and caring for one’s self, became lost. The “reality” is, as lightworkers we are required to be stronger in both our level of physical, mental, spiritual and emotional well-being as well as our level of being as bearers of light, in fact, as “material substance manifested vehicles”, our bodies hold more light the healthier and more balanced they are. The teachings of the Essenses, of which Jesus was a student, instructed on honoring and caring for the power of the self.
Which brings me back to my topic. Why is it we often place the value of our work “tasks” above the value of our bodily selves (as in self care)? Work, for many of us, is the last bastion of the lightworkers brigade: we think we are making strides in learning about life outside work, might be finding new themes of interest, new friends, yet at work, we are still physically there “on the job” but really just want to go on a very long vacation. We feel like it is such a struggle to continue doing the work, and yet, we still do “everything asked of us” with much more dedication and perseverance to doing “a good job” than many others there would care to do. We are still the ones “who jump in and save the day” regardless of how exhausted we are.
So What Is Going On? Why Do We?
Simply put, we have not yet re-learned and fully integrated the concept (and hence allowed the energy to flow there), that we, as Sovereign Individuals, no longer need to operate under any notions that stem from fear or obligation. And the fact is, many still view “our jobs” as a necessary evil, a holdover from the old world energies that we must endure. We feel underneath, as lightworkers, that these jobs are “exceptions” and something we must still suffer through. (Do you see the “embedded” teachings of a “recovering religious person” in that thinking at all?)
But what can we do you say? My job is just that!
Personal Sovereignty starts with simply becoming aware of why we act and often behave in certain ways. The smallest step is exponential. You can bring Sovereignty consciousness to your work, including an acceptance that there are many things you tend to do “unconsciously”, that is, reactively based on old patterns that have at their core, concepts and beliefs based on fear and obligation. In fact, I would go as far as to assert that anytime you think that you are “just doing what I have to do at this job” as a thought reaction to some request to do something for someone that doesn’t feel kosher, think of where that response/feeling associated with that thought stems from.
It may well be that you don’t want to rock the boat (fear), assert yourself (fear), even have thoughts of losing the job (clearly fear), by saying something that could make you seem “selfish”. These feelings are deeply ingrained in us (and again, as we often hear from channeled sources, stemming from many lifetimes of having not so pleasnamt outcomes when we held true to our Personal Sovereignty.)
Know this. In “the new reality”, the new news is that you are now going to be supported by the new earth energies (both physical and non-physical) in conducting yourself in a manner that rightly honors your own Personal Sovereignty. Which does not mean you take a pendulum swing and tell the person what they can do with that request, it simply means you start to develop the presence (and courage) to exhibit “self-care” by taking a deep breath and stating the obvious: “I understand that request. I am really exhausted and overworked, can we talk about how I can meet the request and still be efficient in my work.”
It is amazing what can happen when you do this. It treats them with respect and yourself with respect. It honors the ESPAVO word that The Group and Steve use. Most importantly it honors the energy of Personal Sovereignty. Energy flows in, new and many (unexpected) positive outcomes can result.
It’s 2009. Give it a go!
It is my intention for you that each of you declares your right to the energy of Personal Sovereignty for 2009 so that you may truly create more laughter, joy, peace and happiness in your life.
