The holidays have passed. The exchanges of presents for those you love were given. Presents are physical manifestations of various things bought to aid in the joy of life.
It is definitely wonderful to accept something that is presented to you. Presents are perfect and imperfect in a variety of shapes and sizes. They give multitudes of pleasure and gratitude.
But the most valuable present, most precious treasure and the greatest of all joy is the gift of you!
Many of us have gone through the tribulations of discovering who we are. It seems quite ironic that 2007 brought us through our path of discovery and yet, often times there were two steps backwards keeping us from accomplishing it. Countless moments of time eluded our grasp to be confident of the discovery.
As you look into the mirror you wonder what happened to all your hard work in reading self-help books, trainings, seminars, workshops, and so on. You ask yourself, “when is this knowledge enough?” Will I use it? Can I go out there and teach it? How do I market it? Who am I that I can offer this to others?
If you have had this self-talk with yourself, then you too have experienced the menageries of the unknown; the unknown of your purpose. You feel you are clear about your goals and what you have learned. You feel as if you received quite an amount of education to know who you are. You feel that all the training you have done is a beginning to allow you to step into your dreams, passions and desires.
However, you have found yourself on numerous occasions stuck or you feel as if you are spinning around in the same space now knowing which way to turn.
This is the awareness you have searched for and have looked forward to possessing. You becoming fully in control of your destiny. An awareness of where you came from based on your past life and/or life experiences. The awareness that allowed you to be free to fight your battles as you went on your journey to find your identity.
Awareness is as simple as being enough. Enough where others accept you
as you are. Enough that others may love you and show willingness to allow you
to continue to grow.
The journey into awareness was the opening to the gates of who you
are. As you continued towards the path there were more than obstacles you had
to hurdle. Once you succeeded overcoming the hurdle, there were challenges and
set backs.
In this tremendous amount of regurgitation of beliefs and thoughts, you
still continued in an uphill movement. It made you more determined. Some quit
and there were those who became comfortable. And now there are those of you who
have chose to be fully aware of what you want and who you are. You found there
were times it took a backward motion, side tracking you to do other things, but
it didn’t stop you. Not wrong or right, but usually it was for others.
It was other people’s dreams, desires and wants of which you had to be and
how they want you to be. The remaining percentage was unforeseen bumps in the
log you had to handle. All part of life and sometimes it was more of a routine
which was not fulfilling.
These were not set backs. All of this was life lessons supporting your
journey of being aware. Yes, it is beautiful to find and you are not alone. The
greatest discovery in your journey was for you to find the connection with so
many others.
The connection with those who found their passion, desire and dream permitting
them to live more fully; giving you the say-so to begin your process of healing
by letting go. You found many doors of discoveries which were insights of what
stopped one self to move forward in life.
Each insight gave you the foundation to rebuild. Rebuild who you truly
are not based on other people’s opinions or how you had to be enough.
Stop the repetition of fighting your thoughts about you. You processed and
self analyzed thoughts and beliefs. Thoughts based on knowledge of how
others saw you.
You now face the truth. The naked truth about who you are. The truth
of how your environment and culture, beliefs and thoughts were critical factors
of how you interpret yourself.
The truth begins to heal you. You reveal the stories connected to your soul. The stories of what you believed about you begin to dissipate as you delve into this discovery. The essence of truth is clearly revealed each time you continue to uncloak the layers. Each layer allows the truth to emerge as you see where and how thoughts and feelings were integrated during your childhood. You find the revelation of where the chords are connected beyond your parents and this life time.
After the evolution of being human, the ascension of spiritual
awareness opened up many avenues as you and others continued the journey to be whole
enough to feel in your own body and soul. Consequently, it ignited a flame of spiritual
awakening to live life.
The generation of hippies for peace and love was an external revolution. It unfortunately led to a misunderstanding of freedom. Drugs were part of the confusion and the focus became lost in this freedom. Instead of freedom it became more of an entrapment in their own feelings of who they are and why were they not good enough. Many were not freed from the constant desire to know who they really are.
Everyone wanted to find a purpose. Some found what they wanted.
Others found who they are but the awareness didn’t calm the soul. It
ignited the soul to want more. How does one merge all this together?
The awareness was unsettling in one’s soul. It was not all you
wanted; what was still missing? The cliché of “what’s next”
progressed. Goals and dreams became a vehicle for what is next.
Once you decided to take action while still in motion, you awakened to what is your purpose, what you want and who you are. Being in motion while taking action caused you to live in the moment and not through the past or in the future.
This awakening has caused the effect of you not just wanting to be whole, but the merging of your soul to experience now, in the moment of who you are because of your knowingness of purpose and your strength in what you want.
This is the transmutation. Yes, this gift of who you are exists now. Each
second passed is no longer, only this moment is important in your creation of
you.
It isn’t about how you can be. It is who you are. Do not become
absorbed in being a part of a profession, it is only a label. How do you market
a label when it is best to market what you discovered? You are passion. Be
it, do it and have it. You need not be a channel or healer, or perform through
seminars and public speaking to be proof of who you are. BE who you are. This
is the greatest gift you can give! YOU.
This is what you worked so hard to achieve. You became aware and it is
time to awaken to the truth. All you have to give is you. This gift is what
Christmas was about. A gift given to all mankind was the birth of a human in
the flesh.
Every year you each strive to declare your New Years resolution. Is it not a
declaration each of you claim on January 1st? What are you trying
to do? Isn’t it true you want to improve one self through more
education, lose weight, or some kind of self improvement?
It is still you that is rare and precious. YOU are the end result.
Take time to reflect upon your gift. A gift that should not be ignored
again or taken for granted. Every day take time to treasure this gift as you
live your dream, desire and passion. A gift that is unique and similar amongst
so many; this is what makes you so special.
You are perfect and imperfect in every way. And this is why, YOU are the gift.
