“The Process”
There are so many changes that we are all going through right now. Physical changes, emotional changes, spiritual changes and economic changes all seem to be going on simultaneously. Just when one thing seems to clear, you realize its tied to another area of your life where this is a deeper lesson to be learned.
So, what do we do with all this? Run and hide? Bury our concerns and issues so deep they can never be uncovered? Well, those are both ways we can deal with it. We all have a choice – welcome to the planet of free will. Sometimes wouldn’t it be nice if this whole game of being human came with an instruction booklet? Seriously! I want the spiritual GPS that comes on and tells me which way to turn next…this way to happiness and bliss is right around the corner.
We can also decide to embrace change. Yes, this can be scary at first, but it can also be exciting. We are the creators of our own reality, our own existence. If we feel that we are just “stuck” or that we cannot move onto the higher levels of healing and vibration, then we will not. We have to believe that these changes, these healings are possible. It comes back to that old analogy of the runner seeing his self cross the finish line before the race is over. He sees it. He believes it. Therefore, it happens.
Recently I was speaking to a dear friend who was asking me about an issue I’ve been dealing with. He wanted to know how things were going. My response was, “Oh, about the same, but you know it’s all a process.” I will always remember my friend’s reaction. He said, “Screw the process! Why does it have to be a process? Why not just change it?”
That really made me stop and think. First, about what had I been projecting about this issue. Had I really seen myself working through it? Or had I been holding onto the negativity for so long I had allowed it to become a permanent part of me? Second, I also thought about how blessed I am to have wonderful people in my life that can call me out on my “stuff” and help me to see things in a different light.
Sometimes, when we are in the midst of our lessons, we get caught in cycles. It’s almost like being in the ocean and swimming a little ahead of the current. You get a little further, and then another wave comes along and pulls you back. What does every lifeguard recommend if a swimmer gets caught in a rip current? They will tell you not to fight against the waves, but to relax until you are past it and led in another direction – to go with the flow. This is much like changing your perspective. If you keep concentrating on what is not going right, it is much harder to see things changing for the better, isn’t it? But if you change your perspective, and can actually visualize a positive resolution, things begin to fall into place.
Life is a gift. It is up to each of us how we wish to use this gift. It is up to each of us how we process change. We are so powerful, yet it is easy to get caught up in the trauma and drama and forget we are always in the driver’s seat. We are the ones calling the shots as to which direction we take.
Remember your power of perspective. It can change the course of any process you may be holding onto.

Loved the analogy of the rip tide and the process. It truly is ourselves that keeps us stuck, isn't it? Relax until it passes, then move into another direction. I felt the energy of your intent with this flow outward beautifully. Good job.

It is just as simple as that, but most of the time we don't see that when we are IN the process.....
Thanks Danielle for reminding me of that! |
