During my meditation today I asked to be taught the steps to instant manifestation. This is something I have been working on for over a year—since the release of Reframe Your World. I am a very good manifester actually. I have everything I require and more; living in heaven on earth, happy, healthy and self-sufficient. But, I don’t actually know how I manifest. I have read all the books; understand the Universal Laws—even lecture on them, done every technique, but the results are haphazard and unpredictable. If the Laws are the laws, the results should be very predictable and consistent and mine aren’t, so I must be missing at least one of the steps.

In my meditation I was told that the first step is to give up all attachment to the results of what I want to manifest. In fact, every belief about whatever I am looking to receive must be erased completely. The object of my intention must be a blank slate. Mike Dooley said it perfectly when I opened my “message from the Universe” this morning, “Ever notice how, when someone dreams of happiness, abundance, health, romance, or friendship, they never have to wonder if it's in their best interest? But when someone dreams of a specific house, employer, love interest, deadline, dollar amount, or diet fad, they often end up contradicting themselves? Keep your end results general. Everything else is just a how.”

Generally we don’t realize how attached we ARE to an outcome. We even think we are being open and general as we request a new car, new job, new lover, etc. In fact, many teachings on manifesting have told us to be very specific about our desires, and I have ascribed to those teachings over time, just like most of us. And my results have not been consistent! It would be interesting to go back and document how many of the things I’ve “consciously created” were things I was general about or ones where I got extremely explicit. Therefore, we have to stay very conscious while we are working this magic of manifesting.

Step two is to trust that I can have exactly what I require to meet my needs and whatever the end result is—it will be perfect, even though it might not look like what I expected when I started the process. This is a huge leap of faith; complete surrender. We are so used to having to take care of ourselves, setting goals, being explicit, etc., that this is extremely hard to do. Our mortal mind is sure that it knows what is best for us, and we tend to defend those goals and objectives to death (literally!) Giving over the reins to something seemingly outside ourselves feels like insanity the first time we do it! But the truth is that surrender places us in alignment with our Higher Self, which absolutely is part of us. When did we start to believe it wasn’t? Why would we give away our power?

Once the intent is expressed to the Universal Mind, things are being set in motion and manifesting is starting to happen. This brings us to step three—throw emotion into the mix. This is like adding fuel to the fire. Of course, when the manifestation object is something we are passionate about, the emotion flows easily. But consider the Israelites wandering in the desert for 40 years. They ran out of food and were starving, so to say that they were passionate about asking God to provide food for them is an understatement. The emotion they put out was desperation, and it worked just fine and they were fed. Many times we are also led to create from desperation, but our goal should be preparation. In this manner we can stay focused on our direction, and work with the Universe to ensure that we have what we require before we actually require it. This requires diligence and commitment on our part. The commitment is to staying in the present moment and within the Circle of Surrender as opposed to the Triangle of Fear and Control (for more information see my book, Reframe Your World). Try using JOY as your constant emotion!

Joy is the perfect platform for creating the reality you desire. The law of attraction says that what you put out to the Universe is what you will receive in return, so if you live in joy, you emit the frequency of joy, and everything you attract will also carry that same frequency.

Four—don’t allow anything to pull you from your intended direction. Once you set your intent and add your emotion, you are well on your way to success. This is the hardest part of the process—not succumbing to fear. It’s so easy to slip out of joy and into worry. The distractions are everywhere. It would be a lie to say that staying in joy is simple. At any point, your shadow is there to remind you to be aware of it, and this is the place in the manifesting process where it is most important to stay upbeat so that positive energy keeps flowing into your creation so that you receive it in the physical quickly. Think about baking a cake. What would happen if you carefully mixed all the ingredients, placed them in the pan and into your pre-heated oven, then turned the oven off? You’d get a flat result, gooey in the middle and not at all what you wanted! Your state of joy is what keeps the oven at the right temperature to allow your manifestation to bake to perfection.

The example I was shown in my meditation was relative to food. I was given Manna. It looked like a loaf of bread, beautifully prepared and perfectly baked. When I broke the loaf and took a piece to eat, it melted in my mouth, just like cotton candy, and it provided me with all the nutrition and energy my body required. I was told that I would receive enough for my daily needs, as well as the needs of my family and pets, but I wasn’t to share it. Manna is an individual gift, and we each have to figure out how to create it to meet our own specific needs. So, I was told it wasn’t a commodity to be sold, but I could teach others the process of making it. “I can give a man a fish and he will hunger again tomorrow, but I can teach a man to fish and he will never hunger again.”

Manna is synonymous with whatever is manifested as a conscious creation, and the possibilities are unlimited. Think about the ramifications of just creating manna to feed oneself: no longer is money required to purchase food, so that piece of one’s disposable income is freed up for other uses. No time would need to be expended to figure out what to eat that day, or find the ingredients or prepared food, or cook, or even to eat. Therefore, large chunks of TIME are freed up as well as money! But there is more, and this is where most people go into fear. If people aren’t purchasing food, the supply chain is disrupted, along with financial markets, etc.

The major obstacle here is figuring out what we really want! Because the way the Universe presents our manna to us isn’t necessarily how we might have imagined it. God’s answer to every question is always YES. In fact, this afternoon, I opened my front door and found five loaves of bread on the doorstep. Imagine my surprise! Feel my gratitude!
