I have a confession: I still enjoy watching television, seeing movies and also reading and listening to many different kinds of genres, all from the silly to the heady.  I believe that humanity reveals all aspects of itself through such public medium.  It is never all one sided, there are energies there that speak to the hope and potential of what can be as well as mirroring what we think is.

It may have been a decade ago that I remember watching one of the gangster/film noir movies that had a character “instructing” another character on the necessity of being aware of, and then perfecting yourself, to be an expert in the profession or talent that you are best at doing.  The question he asked was something along the lines of “Do you know what business I am in?”  He went on to ask the other fellow what business that guy was in, and ended up making his point quite clearly.  Now he considered himself a perfectionist at doing things most civilized people would not want to be doing, and his business was in being a strong arm, a fellow who got rid of the bodies.  He was pointing out to the other fellow that he should leave “business” to the experts who are trained best to do the business.

I am not advocating that characters chosen life path, but the point he brings up is very valid, “do you know what business you are in?”  I am referring to the business you do for which you are a certified, highly credentialed and unsurpassed leader in doing.  For most of you, it has little to do with putting income in your back account.

How has this last month of May 2009 gone for you?

For me, it has been one of the most difficult in terms of feeling the earth shift energies that I have ever felt.  I have often had a great deal of challenge to simply even show up for my own work commitments, and once there, it has oftentimes been a great deal of effort for me to get my work done to the high standards I expect of myself.  And that is the work I do in the regular 3D world offering services and producing something tangible in 3D. 

It has been as if I weigh a thousand pounds and am trying to walk as if I was weightless.  This analogy then extends to the mental and emotional realms as well.  I am sure many of you know exactly what I mean!

That should give you a hint as to where I am going with this “what’s your business” question.  I am not talking about my career anymore than I am yours. 

For many of us, our careers, our jobs, the things we do every day at a “place of work”, are not typically the business that we really are doing.  The business we are doing is so much greater, in so many ways, that it truly is the highest cause and greatest honor you can imagine.

Do you consider yourself a Lightworker/Peaceworker?

 Of course you do (or you would not be reading this type of material, or, if you are here for the first time, you probably are one or this topic would hold no curiosity for you).  Well, have you ever REALLY considered what that means?  What is a Lightworker?  This month I have come to a great deal more clarity around this for myself and I want to share that with you.   I have known for many years I was part of “the light team” and have sought out materials and information both in 3D and spiritually, so that I could “remember” who I really am.  And yet…

Until this month, I never considered that being a lightworker meant that IT was, not just something I was passionate about, but something my SOUL was passionate about.  In fact, my soul is MORE passionate about it than I could possibly imagine.  I suspect the same holds true for each of you.

And this sheds light on the energies that we are currently experiencing. 

Your Primary Job

Everything you are about is to be a beacon to raise the consciousness of humanity.  And you just thought you were an administrative assistant or office worker (or something else…)  The truth is, all the past positions you held or the jobs you performed, were all simply stops along the way as you went around, much like Johnny Appleseed, shifting consciousness by laying the seeds of a new way of thinking, responding and in effect, being.

“How did I do that” you may be thinking. You might be saying, “I don’t see how.  I spent (and spend) most of my time trying to figure out what I needed to be doing on the job, keep my life in order and much of the time, just survive myself -  let alone shift another person’s consciousness.”

Well, here is what was (and is) going on.  It is not as if you need to be an expert in speaking with and instructing your fellow co-workers, patrons, (or other recipients of your presence), in the methods and means of raising their consciousness.    In fact you could have (and can still) said/say nothing at all about all these kinds of topics. It is simply enough that you were (and are) in a certain geographical or energetic space.  And that is a revelation of sorts - if you really get the implications.

Your primary job is simply to exist - and do just what you have been doing: the best you can considering the circumstances you have been under!

It’s a matter of Perspective and Comparison to what could have been

Here is what the revelation was for me: what I often fail to take into account is that the way I respond to a situation or crisis (drama) as I go about my daily life on a job or as I interact with folks, is vastly different that the way I could respond.  In other words, I could be right down there in the thick of the drama, spinning my energy there, and enhancing the effects of the outcomes with my own strong and engaging participation… or I could choose, despite how I might think I could still do a much better job of it, to at least attempt to buck that trend that I might see so many others as still doing. 

It might not always be a fully conscious and aware choice…but more of a pre-wired response simply due to who I am inside.  There is that little voice that says “this is wrong and it needs to change…”. 

We tend to see ourselves as part of the problem so much of the time. We might feel that unless we are able to act like saints, we are not doing much to better the situation.  So from my own perspective I might feel I am getting far too involved in a situation, and yet from a broader perspective, my baby steps toward simply trying to elevate my own responses are making a huge impact on the potentials of the outcomes to shift things to a higher level of consciousness.  In other words, in the game of consciousness raising, the rising tide lifts all ships.  

You are the Tide

You see?  Because you care more often than you forget to care, all things on this planet have indeed shifted higher versus what they could have been shifting too.  Because you wanted and strived, even if by thoughts alone, to hope for a different, more positive result for all involved, it made – and makes – all the difference in the creation of the new dawn.  Because you simply had the consciousness to take a momentary breath in the midst of the storm, despite how much you felt turmoil and angst about your situation, the breath mattered.  Your breath mattered because you were the only one there, in that place, that situation, that energy, that did it…. 

…and that single breath caused the briefest, the smallest of pauses, a pause that never existed in the history of humankind in that type of a moment ever before.

You changed everything.  Believe it or not, it is so.  You, lightworker, shifted the consciousness of the planet in that singular elemental and most infinitesimal of moments.

So be strong.  Be proud.  You have made a difference. You are indeed who you have been waiting for.
