Each of us wants to be loved. It’s a primal urge and we search for love from an early age. Depending on the family situation we chose to be born into, some of us feel loved as we grow up, and some of us don’t. As we reach puberty, that search for love becomes an obsession, and we target not only our peers, but celebrities and fantasy as we look for the “one” who will complete us, make us happy, and be the Prince or Princess in our own version of Cinderella. Somewhere deep inside us there is a memory of what it feels like to be one.
Long, long ago, before God created the Universe and all the creatures in it, we knew that feeling. We were part of it. It was Home. It’s a feeling we can describe because we have lived it before, but as we descended into the field of duality on this gameboard of free choice, it seems like we can’t remember where we left it. So we look to recreate that wonderful feeling of ONE outside of ourselves. We find partner after partner, and during the first blush of love we think, “Ahhh, finally…”. But as the days wear on and our own baggage comes up for us in the face of love, doubts appear. Remember what it says in A Course In Miracles? Love brings up everything unlike itself for the purpose of healing and release. And at some point we judge that partner to be not the one to give us the feeling of ONE. And we move on in our search. Sometimes we stay in that relationship even after the glow has left, because we are “committed” or because we have a contract with that partner which isn’t complete. When that happens, generally we find that feeling we were looking for escape farther and farther away.
It doesn’t have to be this way! The feeling was never lost to begin with, but we forgot where we left it! It lives inside our heart, but it gets covered up with the “stuff” we have collected through our many lifetimes. Old emotions of guilt and shame wrap themselves around our true feeling of love, and the oneness becomes the illusion of separation. And we look frenetically for the ONE who can help us to remember how it feels to truly be loved.
This new earth is a place of balance. In order to do the alchemical work we came here to do effectively, we have to find the balance within ourselves and create ONE. This balance is the Yin/Yang of the Tao, the masculine/feminine, and at some point in the evolution of our species, when we were less dense; I believe we carried it within ourselves to the point that we could project our image as either, by our own choice. Now the choice is to find that balance within ourselves once more, or find that balance in a relationship with another and return to the ONE. In order to do this we must release the guilt and shame we hold within, because otherwise we will project it on every partner who tries to love us, so that we can see it in that mirror. What ever the tool you choose, that is the first step in creating the perfect love you have been searching for through lifetimes.
When you free yourself from the past, from all your pasts, you will find that love inside yourself. Then you become the perfect magnet to attract the perfect partner to allow living in the ONE once more.
The ONE is a place where love abounds. Two people who care for each other to the point where they don’t judge themselves or their partner in any way is a beautiful thing. It creates a space for the soul of each to grow to its fullest potential and master their individual life lessons. It is heaven on earth.
