I offer you spiritual and personal help in the following areas which includes my original toning and new age CDs.
About Carolyn:
I have been a student and teacher of “metaphysical-spirituality” for over 30 years. You can find out more about my background by going to my website at: http://awakeningyou.com
I have an M.S. in Wholistic Nutrition. I am a Certified Clinical Hypnotherapist, Certified Spiritual Counselor and a Minister of Overlight Spiritual Psychology.
Beginning as a young child I yearned to understand why I was here on earth. When I looked into the eyes of someone, whether I knew them or not, I could see and feel their sadness; their anger and their innocence. A strong yearning to understand why became such a need, that I would continuously drive the adults in my life crazy with questions as to why God made us and put us here on Earth. I was told that “God” didn’t want us to know the answers to such questions, but some part of me knew, even at the age of eight…that answer was not acceptable. I was bound and determined that I would ask God all my questions until He answered them.
What I found out is that the answers keep expanding as we grow in awareness; that's when the questions become more complex as we go deeper into our truth. Why? Because the picture of ourselves and our life becomes larger and larger.
My inquiring mind has taken me into many aspects of study, meditation and otherworldly experiences that pertain to the deeper meaning and purpose of the body, mind, soul and spirit.
Love is the creator of the Universe!
Blessings.

All paths that one finds self on, are all good. Good in that they will open you to aspects of yourself that up to this point you were not yet prepared to recognize. Life is all about experiencing Light or God, the Creator in its many disguises of good and bad, darkness and lightness, real and unreal. You and your mind create the landscape, the theme of your individual lives, the time frames, the experiences and the personalities you will act out during your long dream of life. When it is time to awaken from the dream, you will know it. The awakening process can go on for many incarnations, each more intense with the intent of finding ever more freedom for the soul while in human form. Here is a way to awaken more quickly.

HEALING HARMFUL ATTACHMENTS
Living in a human form in a world of duality, often seems like living on a battle field. As you well know, a body and a mind require a lot of attention. On top of that, the modern world expects much from each man and woman; not only physically but intellectually, mentally and emotionally. So how many of you feel like you are living inside a continually running washing machine, set on the heavy wash cycle?
Is it no wonder the human psyche becomes so addicted to appeasing the senses in any way it can?
So let us ponder on this and reveal something that might give more insight as to the spiritual reasons for any kind of physical habit, attachment or addiction one might have in their life.
First of all, what is an addiction? An addiction is an attachment that has gone bad; something that over time can hinder a person’s ability to control their own thoughts, beliefs, fears and actions, of which can end up controlling many or all of one’s human impulses to act. Another point here is that attachments to any type of sense perception are what shape the future habits that often end up as addictions. For instance: Often times children develop habits, like an excessive blinking of their eyes, tapping their feet while sitting, making little annoying noises in their throats, and so on. We’ll say that all childhood habits are created because of something the child has been told, has obsessed about, has seen; has experienced, has buried or has feared.
Depending on a person’s wiring and their past karma, which comes from any restricting and ongoing emotional and physical attachment… a person takes on the unfinished consequences from their karma of past actions and brings them into the present to balance. This type of addiction is something that is formed out of a habit… to the point of becoming a compulsion. When one thinks of addiction, what comes to mind is: a drug addict, an alcoholic, a compulsive eater; to name a few. But as you predict, there are many more addictions that are personality addictions as well. Take for example someone who is addicted to anger; to depression; to selfishness; to greediness; to laziness. Then there is the (addiction to denial), which is the strongest kind of addiction on your planet. Everyone has a little of all of these mental habits called characteristics, but not to the point where they are constantly acted upon.
Most of you have in some way, witnessed how bad habits and addictions from deep emotional attachments can be cleverly justified by the ego mind and hidden from acknowledgment. Hidden and protected to the point where they are carried over into other incarnations. Once the damage from a carried over addiction becomes extremely powerful through continued denial…it can no longer be pushed aside or excused away. That is when the self harming actions must be faced and acknowledged, because at that juncture they have become so burdensome that soul progress becomes tremendously slowed or halted…at least until hard work on self transforms the addiction and renders it harmless. At that point there is no where left to go but upward toward the light, your light… or to sink deeper into the ever darkening blindness and suffering of the limited ego mind.
A Note: Remember that one can only find the ways to heal and transform, once they truly want to know all that is keeping them in the suffering mode. This means looking at and knowing the fears and self-truths you most deny because they scare you so much. You can only be given the answers you are willing to hear, understand and know about yourself on body, mind levels. When you are not willing to see your whole truth that is when you are a danger to yourself. Why, because you will act on partial truths and therefore not be able to see the danger you could be putting yourself in with those partial truths. God will not force you to see anymore than you are willing to see and understand. Therefore partial truths can only partially protect you from yourself and your actions.
Many people use excuses like: “Well everyone dies of something” or “I can’t live without “that” or “I believe God will keep my body healthy regardless of how many cigarettes I smoke, or how much alcohol I drink, or how unhealthily I eat ” and so on. Yes, life is meant to experience all of it, but in the hope that mankind would finally come to realize that life and duality were created so that the human aspect would eventually find the balance in caring for the body and the mind, instead of putting them at odds with one another. Also in the hope that humankind would find a way to make peace with fear; find the way to balance the human ego with the Higher Self so that needless suffering would cease in their lives and in the lives of others.
You, who are reading this, have more than likely experienced millions of incarnations. Humanity no longer has what some might call “the luxury” of avoiding the consequences of their actions for another century or so, simply because your souls know that the present conditions on your Earth and in your lives demand change now. Your human world will expand and evolve with or without your inner light and truth, but you won’t. Many individuals are deciding whether they are willing to take on all the work to change their consciousness to one of harmony within self or to take their losses, and go to some other realm more suited to a consciousness trapped in delusion and self denial.
Much is riding on you the adults, and what kind of role models you choose to be for your children and youth. Many of the examples of adulthood on your planet that are being witnessed by your youth show just how prevalent addiction is amongst humankind. More and more unaware people are becoming addicted to hate, greed, being irresponsible in ones thoughts, actions and deeds all because of the addiction to self-gratification at any cost.
The truth is, that extremes and the indulgence of sense desires strip away one’s freedom to be truly happy because they eat away one’s mental, emotional and therefore physical well being, and the ability to feel the joy that peace of mind brings to life, when one is free of their harmful desires and addictions.
Look at the youth of today. Many girls and young women, are starving themselves in order to stay thin and therefore in their mind… acceptable and worthy of attention from their peers. Teen boys as well as girls are experimenting with drugs and alcohol and taking part in all types of other unsafe activities, in the name of “getting high as you would say”, “having fun” or “fitting in”. If they don’t have physical addictions they usually have some kind of mental and emotional damage left over from their earlier actions, which until transformed, will find their way into all aspects of their lives. Other than that, what is promoting the kind of addictions that are prevalent in your world? Everything is about stimulating the ego senses. Most of your movies, the kind of food you eat for the pure sensation of taste and little about health…the alcoholic beverages that are advertised as a way to attract the opposite sex when mingling with the physically attractive people; who like many; are longing for some kind of human companionship, whatever that means to each. This scenario is all about physical attraction, attachments to relationships and addictions to physical and human senses…as if that is all human life is for. Therefore loneliness, boredom and depression are by products of your civilized societies. Why? Many have no spiritual role models to look up to…that can guide them inward to the inner truth of their true Essence and what that means.
Often times children that lack a sense of belonging anywhere, begin to abuse their bodies and minds in one way or another, sometimes unconsciously at first. During her childhood and adolescence, Carolyn had several of what she called bad habits to contend with. One such habit demanded that she continuously repeat a particular action, like blinking her eyes tightly every few seconds. Another had her gritting her teeth extremely hard. And there was the habit that had her stretching her face as hard as she could when opening her mouth wide, as if yawning. These habits were physically exhausting. Biting the skin off a couple of her fingers at each sitting, until they were raw or bleeding was the strongest body habit from her childhood to break. Thank goodness a new habit would only take over once the previous one was conquered.
With the exasperation from each habit, Carolyn began to ask herself how she could stop being controlled by the strong need to act on the impulse to perform a certain action. She began to experiment with her mind and its thoughts, and found out that when the impulse to blink or grit her teeth was demanding her to act, she could refuse to and instead think about something else completely unrelated to her habits or, go do something to keep her mind off the frantic feeling of giving into her impulses. As she practiced diligently to create power over her mind and body impulses…she was able to dismantle each habit successfully and completely.
The bigger challenges in her adult life, such as anorexia, depression and self-loathing were not so easily taken care of however. But over a long period of time, with constant experimentation, deep honest insight into the layers of her self-protecting lies; outside research and her ever renewing devotion to tap into her inner higher knowing… she continues to expand her understanding; transform and heal her unhealthy human attachments and addictive beliefs. These actions surprisingly keep bringing about little miracles inside her body, her mind and her life.
So it is safe to say that unhealthy habits in childhood, if not taken care of and dismantled by understanding and insightful adults, can become the fuel for debilitating addictions as one grows into an adult.
On the other side of the coin, if a child is continuously rewarded for unacceptable behavior or lacks the experience of consequences for wrong/harmful actions…this in turn can produce an adult who makes decisions based on selfish motives that activate one’s feel good monitor. These superficial feel good monitors unfortunately do not allow for self- introspection or promote self- discipline. In all age groups you will find people who somewhere in their life came to believe that they were somehow entitled to receive immediate gratification. This is an addiction of the mind as well.
As non-constructive ego and body desires are played out in the world, often they give the appearance of happiness and success. But if not tempered by inner awareness, those same habitual ego desires begin to control the person through their feel good monitor of constant self gratification, until they find them self controlled by it, just like a drug addict or alcoholic.
Once it is clear that one’s attachments, desires, habits and addictions are disturbing their quality of health; their quality of life and their personal relationships…it is time for change. Sometimes an emotional revulsion toward a habit can break it. But more often than not the control gained from that wanes, and once again one might find them self having to deepen their devotion to changing, in order to remain detached from their attachment or suffer. When self honesty is more important than how one feels about them self in the moment that is when real change can occur.
Meditation and or deep self-contemplation are necessary for self truth on all levels. Listening to, or singing music that opens your heart and touches your soul is one way to tap into your inner heart awareness with love. Talking to God and praying with deep devotion are two other ways to open spiritually. Using energy in this way first… can open you to deeper insight during your meditation period. In this way you will be able to more easily let go and have faith that you are receiving the energy you need to be free from the pull of the ego self and therefore any harmful beliefs.
Trading one addiction for another that is “less harmful”, and then leaving it at that, is a step in the correct direction, but the mind is still not free of the pattern of addiction. In other words, the body/mind is still not free from the habitual impulse to control you. Therefore life is still held back and thwarted because the addictive mindset is still in place.
Whether you realize it or not, each of you is made up of many selves. These other selves consist of those who reside on your present Earth, in other realms of Earth and in the many realms you might refer to as astral realms and heaven. Remember, you are each a part of a much bigger soul group than just your individual soul groups. Your individual soul group as a whole… is pulling on the strings you might say, of each of your other aspects throughout the cosmos, and working to reunite and harmonize them astrally, physically, mentally, emotionally and in every other way you are open to. Whoever are in this healing loop of exchanging energy… they are there because they are weary of the human struggle and are choosing to take a strong initiative to heal their unhealthy desires, attachments and addictions in the dream of human life. You could say this is being done through osmosis as each aspect of a soul group, including you… shares a gift of healing and transformation with another soul within their soul group…whether it is consciously experienced or not. And in so doing bring more balance to the entire individual soul group. As each soul group comes into balance and harmony, it will merge with other soul groups who have reached balance, and so on into infinity.
What is being stated is that as long as one is on a spiritual path, they will eventually move into the higher levels while on Earth. But how long do you want it to take dear ones. The human ego still has way too much control over what people believe, say, think and do in your world. Reading enlightening books, following teachers, going to self-help workshops; being positive and compassionate, are all wonderful. But not much is going to magically happen to bring deep insight and answers, unless you use what you learn to go beyond the conscious and subconscious mind into Super or Cosmic Consciousness. That’s where your true salvation lies dormant to you on a conscious level, until you awaken in it.
No one can do it for you dear ones. You can however be guided to move inward to those deeper states by someone who knows a way. The ways are many but the goal is one and the same. You came here to liberate yourselves from the pull of the little self. You must learn, find or create a technique that takes you deeply within yourself. It is important that you find and practice your meditative and or devotional technique everyday so that you will begin to move beyond the conscious and subconscious mind. The conscious and sub-conscious, only lead to each other, like a constant loop that plays itself over and over again. It takes practice, love and intent to know and realize that you yourselves are Divine; that you are a creation of the Cosmic or Super-Consciousness (God).
For whatever amount of time you carve out for yourself daily in your devotional practice, you will continue to loosen the hold of the ego or little self and the over exerted grip the false dream of life has on your body and mind. This hold, this grip is the cause of your fear, your frustration; your hopelessness and your seeming lack of control over what you attract into your life and what you attach yourself to on a body, mind and human level of your being.
It’s time to surrender to the Divine will and gain everything or give in to the will of the ego and be blinded by its untruths for a while longer. Either path is long but the path of the little self or ego, is over shadowed with endless human desires, of which make the ego path much longer, as it carries you deeper into the falseness of the dream; making it harder to find your way back home. All paths lead to home though, and none are bad. Each path is either lighter as in purity or darker as in density and heaviness. But whatever path one chooses, it is the only one they are prepared to walk at that juncture. So do not judge because you do not know another person’s personal karma and why they must choose the path they have chosen for now.
Eventually every soul chooses a path that leads directly to Home and beyond the dream of human life. How will you know which path to take? Listen to your heart and soul desires.
*If you are someone who still longs to fulfill certain human desires and have more worldly experiences, that is what you must do for now.
* If you are a person who only has a mild interest in spirituality; who wants to merely experiment with it when you feel like it, that is what is best at this time for you.
*If your work is in a non-spiritual environment that you enjoy, but you love spirituality and are eager to learn as much as you can from it…search for the balance between those two areas of your life.
*Experiencing the world is a great teacher in and of itself. When you tire of the constant ups and downs that keep you on an emotional rollercoaster, you will choose another path, maybe one that is less about the world and more about self awareness.
Regardless what path you are on, whatever you are willing to do to free yourself from any unhealthy attachment or addiction in your present life… your other incarnations will be easier and more rewarding.
All paths that one finds them self on are all good, in that they open people to aspects of themselves that up to this point, they were not yet prepared to recognize. Life is all about the experiencing of God, the Creator in Its many disguises of good and bad, darkness and lightness, real and unreal. You and your mind create the landscape, the theme of your individual lives, the time frames, the experiences and the personalities you will act out during your long dream of life. When it is time for you to awaken from the dream, you will know it. The awakening process can go on for many incarnations; each incarnation more intent on finding ever more freedom for the soul while in human form.
Your first taste of liberation comes when you allow your soul, by way of the Higher Self… to free you from your addiction to fear. To have strong fears means you are not letting go of your greatest fear, that of suffering. In this way you are insisting that your will is stronger than the will of your Cosmic Self (God). So what fear are you attached to? Is it the fear of the truth, failure or of rejection?
If you really want to be free from fear, look to your Higher Self/God with an open heart and unclouded mind for the answer. God or your Higher Mind knows what will set you free but you must be willing to acknowledge what it is that will set you free.
The game plan cannot be changed to a better one until each person first acknowledges that one cannot harm self, without harming others in some way. Do you want peace for all? Of course you do, on some level, but if you did not want peace for all, you would not be able to have it for yourself either.
For you see peace cannot come into a heart and mind that is cluttered with selfish thoughts and ego fears. True peace comes from inner peace with the Self that is God. And expresses through the mind and body according to the soul’s will. With faith in the Creator’s will for you…your will to overcome unhealthy attachments and fears, becomes stronger. So let the new peace you find through your inner searching, bring the joy of freedom to all earnest seekers of truth.
So breathe deeply and know that you are the Creator and the created aspect of the Creator.
Much love to you all.
