In my years of research with human behavior I found that control is an optical illusion. Truly no one has complete control. In fact, control can be a deception and lead us astray. For example, most men will hold back tears of joy because it has been said, “men do not cry.” Statistically, one out of every ten men have total self expression with no reservation to cry tears of joy or sadness. The ratio is changing as more become aware of their human senses.
Truthfully, how many live in optimum control? Without control there is a feeling of incompleteness. We seek out for an individual who can take the lead or find an object that can fill the void. Whatever it takes to feel comfortable and safe. Our basic human trait to reason causes thoughts to manifest in opposition of oneself until one feels whole again.
This process perseveres as a way to gain back control. It is a systematic action to be decisive in repeating our behavior that produces the right choice. Effortlessly we lead ourselves down the path called, “perfectionism..” If everything is in order, therefore, I am in control. Anything that does not fit or not immediately available to us will throw one into a state of failure. Failure defined through one's experience of not enough.
The belief of not enough creates this desire to do more or to have more. An obsession to possess this false perception of being perfect. However, it sets one up to continually pursue the untruth about self. The focus on perfectionism becomes the point of reference to ensure one will stay on track. No longer is human error acceptable. Everything must have its place. I found that a majority of people would begin to explain or justify their existence.
The result triggers off a multitude of thoughts and feelings. Some may internally decide the world is against them. A point of no return as the stories become a reality. Today, if one loses their job instantly it is about what didn't they do right. It doesn't stop here. The feelings and emotions merge into a manifestation of unworthiness.
This is when fear of success overwhelms the truth. Fear to not have things in order. As you can see, there is a domino effect that happens complicating one's desires and passion. Fear is something that will optimize the feeling of anxiety, depression, and more. The body responds as the wave of emotions overcomes this belief to control feelings.
It is best to flow with these emotions and feelings and be in control once you have filtered out the not good enough statements. For example, if one wants to have family and friends close to them, I found that they covertly withdraw from them. The covert affair one has with self as it plays out each moment, each day, each hour. The spy within whose mission is to find a villian who is at fault.
The mission becomes impossible when there is no one to blame. And like a good spy, one will look at the circumstance or the environment to find the culprit who is the cause. The other side of this illusion is one could totally self sabotage claiming this is destiny, a lesson to learn because it is my contract. Why is failure the contract and not success?
We all can look at how we transformed from birth to present time. Our instinct to survive at the time of conception is the start of divine connection of soul and human. Being born into a world of uncertainty in love, hate; joy, sadness. An innocent being waiting to receive. Touch is the first imprint of physical interaction. This is the exchange of acceptance.
Throughout our childhood we want to capture that same feeling. Without the physical touch our mind, body and soul declares to find this feeling again. It gave comfort and a sense of being safe, the same as being in control.
Take time to bring back the moment of acceptance. Life isn’t always in perfect harmony that each of us can control. Everything in our existence is in optimum control because it is not perfect. Look at mother nature and the beauty it projects. On the other hand, it also has its days of destruction and recreation of all living matter.
Isn’t it time for you to assess your truth. Each human being has now come to its crossroads to evolve and begin to anchor the truth of one’s purpose. You were born with this birth right. Take a breath and breathe in acceptance.
